Take a HKE on Sunday

Urban Ecology Center HKE MKE,  Sunday Sept 20th

All neighbors are invited to join HKE MKE, an urban-nature experience that helps to support the mission of the Urban Ecology Center. You’ll hike along the river in beautiful Riverside Park as well as the Milwaukee Rotary Centennial Arboretum and more. The routes are family-friendly and tailored to different abilities so everyone can participate. Take a hike Milwaukee and MHNA!

The goal is to get everyone outside and enjoying urban nature (during the day and before the Packer game!) while raising funds to support and give back to the Urban Ecology Center for what they do to enhance the quality of life in our neighborhood.  Funds raised by participants help to preserve these urban natural gems and support the Center’s mission of connecting people to nature.

The family and wheels friendly route is a 2.5 mile loop in Riverside Park that begins and ends at the UEC Center. It is not a race but a morning spent on a leisurely hike. There will be nature activities on the course that you can stop and participate in as you go.  Registration for the hike will include a t-shirt.
