MHNA meeting on May 27th and Candidate Forum on June 5th

Dear Murray Hill Neighbors:

How could it be Memorial Day and the beginning of summer? It seems that just the other day we were facing frost warnings and highs in the 40’s. Oh, that’s right that was just last week! In any case the Murray Hill Neighborhood Association is coming to the end of our regular season of membership meetings. Just as we are coming to the end of our season we are also at the end of one of the biggest collapses in the housing market. So what could be more appropriate than a visit from one of our favorite speakers, Mr. Jim Christenson of First Weber Realty, to inform us on how he and the upper Eastside has fared during these past few years and what we should be looking forward to in real estate prices.

We will meet on May 27th at the Urban Ecology Center, 1500 E. Park Place from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and let you know about other events and changes in the neighborhood, and listen to you to see how we can better serve you to make this the best neighbor around to live, work and play in.

Also please note on your calendar the State Representative Candidate Forum on Thursday June 5th starting at 5:30 to 7:30 pm at St. Marks Church, 2618 N. Hackett Ave. The evening will be hosted by journalist Bruce Murphy and all four democratic candidates who are running to replace Jon Richards will be there to give us an idea of who they are and what they want to achieve representing us in Madison.
