High Impact Paving Projects: N. Farwell and N. Prospect Av from E. Locust St to E. Kenwood Blvd

Notice from DPW…

The City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works (DPW) will conduct high impact paving projects on North Farwell Avenue and North Prospect Avenue from East Locust Street to East Kenwood Boulevard beginning Monday, July 15th, weather permitting. On-street parking will be prohibited starting at 6:00 a.m. on Monday, July 15th through the duration of the project. Persons holding residential day parking permits will be permitted to park within two (2) blocks of the address shown on their permit providing they abide by all other provisions of the day permit parking program.

These projects will take place over two to four days and the proposed schedule is as follows:

Monday, July 15th and Tuesday, July 16th: Starting at 6:00 a.m., the contractor will close both N. Farwell Ave and N. Prospect Ave from E. Locust St to E. Kenwood Blvd to traffic. Crews will mill the existing pavement and will re-open to local access only.

Wednesday, July 17th and Thursday, July 18th: Starting at 6:00 a.m., both N. Farwell Ave and N. Prospect Ave from E. Locust St to E. Kenwood Blvd will be closed to traffic for the contractor to resurface the roads with asphalt. Once pavement markings are done, each road will re-open to traffic and on-street parking will be restored.
