East Library Closing – Nov 9 – Nov 22
The Temporary East Branch Library located at 2430 N. Murray will be closed November 9th through 22nd to allow the move of materials to the ‘New’ East Branch Library (2320 N. Cramer St.), which will have its Grand Opening on Saturday, November 22nd.
Books that are due can be dropped off at the book drop of the new East Library (2360 N. Cramer St.) on November 8 or after. Please use other libraries such as the M.L.King Library (310 W. Locust) for access to books, computers and other library resources.
During these two weeks, patrons that usually pick up their holds at East will have two options:
1. Holds can be sent to other locations. The closest location to East is the Martin Luther King Branch, at 310 W. Locust St.
2. From the catalog, patrons have the option to “freeze” holds so that they are not filled before the East Branch reopens. Ask a librarian if you’d like some assistance with freezing your holds.
