Community Meeting for proposed Cheba Hut at Oakland & Locust

Cheba Hut operators reached out to MHNA to introduce themselves and shared the following documents.

They are seeking to locate a new restaurant and bar in the building formerly occupied by Blaze Pizza and are seeking a liquor license and permission to operate with a full bar until midnight on weekdays and 2:30AM on weekends.  Alderman Kovac is hosting a community meeting with the proposed operators on Monday at 6PM.  Please consider attending to hear from the business and share your feedback.  Meeting details are below:

Dear District 3 Neighbor,

New operators have applied for a Class B Tavern License and a Food Dealer-Restaurant License for Cheba Hut, proposed to be located in the currently vacant and former Blaze Pizza location at 2907 N. Oakland Avenue.

I will be hosting a virtual meeting for the neighbors to meet the applicants, hear their plan of operation for the space, and raise any questions or concerns.
