Join Us for Our April 2023 Membership Dinner and Meeting!

Day:  Thursday, April 27, 2023
Time:  6:15 PM Dinner; 7:00 PM Meeting
Place: Plymouth Church, 2717 E. Hampshire St.

We’ll be sharing a home cooked dinner: Chicken Parmesan, Pasta and Sciortino’s Italian Bread!

We will begin serving at 6:15, so come early to meet your neighbors and dine before the 7:00 meeting. Feel free to bring a dessert to share.

Milwaukee MPD District 1 Report

District 1 Community Liaison Officer Molly Plumley and Assistant District Attorney Dax Odom will provide updates on current crime trends in our area.

Business Spotlight:

Sendik’s on Downer – Nehring’s Sendik’s, located at 2643 North Downer Avenue, has been the East Side’s premier specialty grocery store since 1929. John Nehring started working for the Sendiks family in 1990, and he and his wife, Anne, purchased the store in 2014.  Many improvements have been made to bring us the store that it is today, still a very special place on Downer Avenue. For more information, visit sendiksdowner.com or call 414-962-1600. The Nehrings will be joining us in person and plan to share with us more about their history, specialty items, departments, and discounts.

Guest Speaker:

Miramar Theater – Aaron Ohlsson, owner and operator of the Miramar Theater, located at 2844 N. Oakland Avenue, will join us to provide a brief history of the theater which first opened in 1913 and changed many times over the decades to what it is today.
