Tell us about your business
Athletico is an outpatient physical therapy clinic, treating a wide variety of conditions from head to toe, surgical or otherwise. Aside from orthopedic issues (think knee, shoulder, back pain, etc.) we treat vestibular/dizziness issues, concussions, and perform dry needling for a variety of issues. If ever one is uncertain whether or not they need physical therapy for the issue at hand, we offer free assessments to help guide the individual in the direction needed, whether that is indeed physical therapy, a referral to a physician, or just a few exercises to help them along the way. We have two physical therapists here and like the small-town feel, this neighborhood has to bring in a big city.
How long has your business been in the neighborhood?
The clinic has been here for just over 10 years although our current clinical staff has been here closer to 5 years.
How has your business changed to accommodate Covid-19?
We have been staying up to date with company and CDC best practices throughout the pandemic. During this time, we have remained open to provide physical therapy services to those in need, with day to day clinic life looking slightly different. Masks are worn and patients are spread out throughout the day to accommodate as many individuals’ schedules as possible. We still have our long hours throughout the day to get people in before work, after work, or any time throughout the day. All equipment is cleaned thoroughly between uses to ensure patient safety.
What do you love most about Murray Hill?
The Murray Hill neighborhood is such a wonderful area to live and work due to the people that comprise the area. The majority of our patients live in the surrounding area and bring a real community feel to our clinic, which has been wonderful to experience for the past 5 years!
