Dear Members and Residents,
Thank you for continuing to support the Murray Hill Neighborhood Association. As summer winds down, we have numerous items to be aware of, both as an association and a neighborhood.
The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee kicks off another school year in a few weeks. The university is a great community partner and resource for residents. With a new year, students also become residents. We will continue to work closely with UWM and our Milwaukee Police Department liaison officers to educate students on how to co-exist with neighbors and stay on top of noise nuisance issues.
Neighborhood streets will also experience more traffic congestion while the Lake Drive rebuild is underway over the next two years. We will work with Alderman Jonathan Brostoff and the City of Milwaukee to address reckless driving issues while pursuing and encouraging traffic calming solutions.
Please consider becoming involved with our association and neighborhood. Your MHNA board directors are deeply passionate about our community’s future. Membership dues help support our commitment to provide residents a stronger voice and keep our community strong, safe, and vibrant.
If you are not a member, please consider becoming part of the movement. Your support enables us to provide our monthly member meeting and community programs, newsletter and maintain our website. We hold monthly member meetings and dinner on the fourth Thursday of the month from January through October.
As always, we welcome your ideas to keep Murray Hill beautiful, interesting, and an engaging place to live. Email us at issues@murrayhillna.org and visit murrayhillna.org to learn more about MHNA.
On behalf of your MHNA Board, thank you for reading.
