A July 21 note from MPD:  Introducing our new Day Shift Lieutenant for District One

Hi all,

I am the new Day Shift Lieutenant for District One. I am looking forward to meeting with each of you, and discussing any issues or concerns you may have within your Neighborhoods. I am very excited to be at District One and I am looking forward to a great year. Attached is a crime breakdown for burglaries and entry to autos within the last 21-days. I think you will be surprised as to how many incidents involved unsecured doors and windows. I am hoping each of you could assist me in getting the message out to your constituents about being vigilant in locking doors and windows. I would also like to remind everyone not to leave any valuables in their vehicles and or garage door openers.
