Neighborhood Town Hall set for Wednesday, December 11

Milwaukee Alderman Nik Kovac invites residents to share concerns and hear from local officials at a Neighborhood Town Hall meeting the evening of Wednesday, December 11, 2013.

Participants will have the chance to meet, hear from and address concerns to Milwaukee Police Department Captain Aaron Raap, the new commander of Police District One. Other speakers will include Alderman Kovac, Heidi Weed from the Department of Neighborhood Services and a representative from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Updated data on owner occupancy trends and nuisance violations will be presented.

The event will be held in the auditorium at Riverside University High School, 1615 E. Locust St. from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Residents are encouraged to attend to help maintain an open dialogue, not just between UW-Milwaukee and residents in that area, but among all neighbors on the east side.
