Neighborhood Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday, May 14

Milwaukee Alderman Nik Kovac invites residents to share concerns and hear from local officials at a Neighborhood Town Hall meeting the evening of Tuesday, May 14, 2013. Speakers include Alderman Kovac, District One Police Capt. Stephen Basting, Heidi Weed from the Department of Neighborhood Services, and a representative from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Updated data on owner occupancy trends and nuisance violations will be presented. The event will be held in the auditorium at Riverside University High School, 1615 E. Locust St. from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Residents are encouraged to attend to help maintain an open dialogue, not just between UW-Milwaukee and residents in that area, but among all neighbors on the east side.
