Join Us for Our October 2024 Membership Dinner and Meeting!

Day:  Thursday, October 24, 2024
Time:  6:15 p.m. Dinner; 7:00 p.m. Meeting
Place: Plymouth Church, 2717 E. Hampshire Street

This month, We will be serving a home cooked dinner of enchiladas, beans and rice.

Please RSVP to attend dinner here no later than Tuesday, October 22 to allow us to plan the meal.

Dinner starts at 6:15 p.m., so come early to meet your neighbors and dine before the 7:00 p.m. meeting. Feel free to bring a dessert to share.

Enough is Enough – A Legacy for Erin

Representatives from Enough is Enough– a Legacy for Erin will join us to explain their mission to help eliminate innocent injury or loss of life due to criminal reckless driving throughout the state of Wisconsin. They are a group of volunteers working hard to put an end to reckless driving by addressing Community Outreach/Education and Legislative Changes as well as with Court Watch.

Court Watch involves members monitoring reckless driving hearings (at the Milwaukee County Courthouse) to ensure greater accountability for decisions impacting public safety. They do this with community presence in the courtroom during plea and sentencing, submitting Community Impact Statements, supporting and/or representing victims and their families at hearings, recording and compiling decisions by the judge in criminal reckless driving cases, and possibly providing help with car-pooling of members to/from court hearings.

MHNA Board of Director Elections

The Murray Hill Neighborhood Association Board elections will take place during the October member meeting. We currently have three director positions up for reelection: President and Directors 3 and 4. All current directors have agreed to continue serving on the Board and are running for reelection.

The Murray Hill Neighborhood Association has a nine-member board of directors. Your MHNA board directors are deeply passionate about our community. Please consider joining the board to support our commitment to provide residents a stronger voice and keep our community strong, safe, and vibrant.
