Join Us for Our February 2024 Membership Dinner and Meeting!

Meet Your Elected Officials and Candidates for Office

Our member meeting will take place on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Plymouth Church.

This month, we’ll be serving a home-cooked Mexican dinner, including enchiladas, rice, beans, and salad!

Time:  6:15 PM Dinner; 7:00 PM Meeting
Place: Plymouth Church, 2717 E. Hampshire Street

Please RSVP to attend dinner here by Wednesday, February 28, to allow us to plan the meal.

Dinner starts at 6:15, so come early to meet your neighbors and dine before the 7:00 meeting. Feel free to bring a dessert to share.

April elections are just around the corner and now is a good opportunity to hear from our elected officials and candidates running for local city and county offices.

We will begin the meeting with short introductions from two candidates running for the following offices this spring: Bill Christianson, City Comptroller, Alex Kostal, County Supervisor, and Ted Chisholm, Milwaukee County Treasurer.

In addition, Ann Kransdorf, an MHNA member and a volunteer with Supermarket Legends, an all-volunteer non-partisan group that works to promote voting, will speak briefly about the organization and provide informational voting materials.

Senator Chris Larson and Representative Ryan Clancy will provide important updates about and insights into the latest news from our government in Madison. This will be a great opportunity for members to ask questions of our state representatives!

This month, the MPD will not be in attendance, as previously announced, but will return in upcoming meetings.

Going forward, our MPD community liaison officers may come every other month, so if you have a topic or issue to discuss with the captain or our CLOs one-on-one, this will be a great opportunity to do so!
