Murray Hill Meeting Announcement
Dear Murray Hill Members and Neighbors:
Please join us this Tuesday April 28 at 7:00 to welcome Bob Bryson and Samir Amin from the City’s Department of Public Works as they tell us what goes into traffic planning and street repair.
We have all seen the pneumatic traffic counters along Maryland, Oakland, and elsewhere. This is your chance to find out how that data is used to make traffic decisions. Surprisingly, it may not have as much of impact on determining which streets get repaired and in what manner, as you might think. But it is still import to know how our travel path change from year to year.
Samir will tell us about the decision making required to designate a section of our streets ready for repair and which ones we might see being worked on in the near future.
We also have a brief presentation planned form Kate Reinhart and Willow Hombsch from College of the Possible which helps low-income students realized college admission and how we can help.
As usual we will meet at the Urban Ecology Center, 1500 E. Park Place from 7:00 to 9:00 pm and there will lots more on development and news about in the neighborhood, and opportunities for fun and getting out to enjoy our special corner of the city.
Hope to see you there,
J. Gerard Capell,
Vice President MHNA
