MHNA COVID-19 Updates

Neighbors,
We hope you are all safe and well.  I’m writing to share several updates related to Murray Hill Neighborhood Association events, as well as other community updates.

  • MHNA General Membership Meetings (usually the 4th Thursday of the month) are cancelled until further notice.
  • The 16th Annual Spring Eggs-travaganza (April 11) has been cancelled.  Plastic and ceramic eggs will be saved for next year’s event and perishable candies will be donated.
  • The 25th Annual Milwaukee Riverkeeper Spring Cleanup (April 18) has been postponed.  Read more here.
  • The MPD District 1 Quarterly Crime and Safety Meeting (April 1) has been cancelled.
  • The 2020 Spring Election is still scheduled for Tuesday, April 7.
    • Have a change in address, name, or a new voter?  You have until March 30 to register to vote.  Click here to register to vote.
    • Want to stay socially-distanced on voting day?  Vote absentee by requesting a ballot by April 2 (but as soon as possible is best to ensure you receive your mailed ballot and can return it in time.)  Click here to request your ballot.
  • The Milwaukee Department of Public Works has shifted to focus on essential services.  Click here for important updates regarding garbage and recycling pickup, parking enforcement and more.
  • Support our local businesses!  Getting tired of staying in and cooking for yourself?  Purchasing gift cards and ordering carryout or delivery from local businesses is a great way to support our neighbors and treat ourselves during these trying times!  Check out the following updated links on offerings from our local commercial districts:
  • On a lighter note, with board member transitions in roles, we’ve been working to ensure that our email list is up-to-date and with this email, we are adding about 30 new people into our email list – WELCOME!  If you have friends or neighbors that would like being added, please forward this email and they can click here to be added to the list!
