Join us at the April Membership Meeting

Come out on Tuesday, April 25, for a unique look at the news you read in  the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.  The April meeting of Murray Hill Neighborhood Association will include a presentation by Tom Kertscher who is editor for PolitiFact and who has had a very interesting time with the latest presidential election and current administration.  Tom will discuss what goes into fact-checking the endless claims and counterclaims, and parsing the fine and not so fine distinctions between facts and “alternate facts”.

Tom Kertscher has been a news reporter at the Journal Sentinel since 1998. He covered a variety of beats before the Journal Sentinel started PolitiFact in 2010. Tom grew up in Cedarburg, received his journalism degree from UW-Madison and master’s from Ohio State. He has also worked for newspapers in Oklahoma, Illinois and California.

We will also have news from Officer Kline about the activities involving MPD in our corner of the city, and updates on spring clean-up efforts, changing businesses in our commercial districts and so much more.

We meet at the Urban Ecology Center, 1500 E. Park Place from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
