A New Year of Murray Hill Meetings

Hello Neighbors,

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday season! We are writing with two important announcements:

1. Due to changes with the evening availability at the Urban Ecology Center, we are changing the meeting day for our Murray Hill Neighborhood Association general membership meetings. In 2020, our meetings will be held on the 4th Thursday of each month, still at 7PM, but now in the Camouflage Room on the second floor.

2. Please plan to attend our January MHNA meeting – next week Thursday, January 23 at 7PM at the Urban Ecology Center (1500 E Park Place) in the Camouflage Room! We will be kicking off the new year in sustainable style with a few presentations about better managing our waste streams! Our speakers will include:

Anneke Mohr, City of Milwaukee Tobacco-Free Alliance Coordinator, on reducing cigarette butt litter through the “Hold On To Your Butt MKE!” campaign
Erin Keleske, City of Milwaukee Environmental Collaboration Office (ECO) Water Centric City Program Assistant, on Plastic Free MKE and Lake Friendly Restaurants
Jen Norris, Murray Hill resident and co-founder of the Buy Nothing – Upper East Side, Milwaukee Facebook Group

In addition to our feature guest speakers, we will also hear from MPD District 1 Community Liaison Officer Carlos Felix with safety updates, as well as have a brief conversation about 2020 goals for your neighborhood association!
