January Murray Hill Meeting
Hello Neighbors!
We hope everyone had a good holiday season and is staying warm. We have a great meeting planned for our January Murray Hill Meeting which will take place Tuesday, January 22 at 7PM at the Urban Ecology Center.
Our main topic will be a presentation on the MKE United initiative. MKE United is an effort led by the Greater Milwaukee Committee, City of Milwaukee, the Greater Milwaukee Foundation and the Milwaukee Urban League to connect the economic development happening downtown to the residents in the adjacent neighborhoods. Also referred to as the Greater Downtown Action Agenda, MKE United is led by a set of teams and committees. Joining us at our meeting on Tuesday will be Joan Johnson and Daniel Bergen.
Joan Johnson is the Deputy Library Director for MPL and serves on the Steering Committee of MKE United. Dr. Dan Bergen is the founding, and executive director of the Office of Community Engagement at Marquette University and recently joined the Community Engagement Team for MKE United. Together, they will give us an overview of the initiative, the action agenda, and how Milwaukeeans can get involved.
We will also be joined by Officer Kline to give safety and policy updates from MPD District 1.
Hope to see you there!
