Eggs-travaganza Recap!
11th Annual Egg Hunt was a Fun and Successful Event!
Mr. Bunny joined the 150+ egg hunters and their parents and grandparents at the 11th Annual Eggs-travaganza at the children’s play area of Riverside Park this past Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 9:00 AM. Many dyed eggs, candy-filled plastic eggs and special eggs d’art filled the baskets of the excited kids of all ages. It is guaranteed that the many pictures taken of the little ones with Mr. Bunny will be shared for many years to come. It was great to see the children enjoy the park after the event and the parents having a chance to visit with other parents. It was a great neighborhood community event enjoyed by many! Visit the photo gallery here to see some shots of the fun.
Thanks to the participants for coming, to the many volunteers who dyed, filled or hid the eggs and to the artists at Murray Hill Pottery Works who made the special ceramic and paper mache eggs. Much appreciation is due to the sponsors of this event: Murray Hill Neighborhood Association, Murray Hill Pottery Works, Walgreens and the Upper East Side/Oakland Avenue Business Improvement District. Special thanks to John Schrimpf, Walgreen’s manager for ensuring in more ways than one that Mr. Bunny appeared and kudos to the Co-Chairs Cynthia Sommer (MHNA Events Coordinator) and Geralyn Flick (Murray Hill Pottery Works) for making the hunt a reality. It takes many people to make a great community event.
