Commendation Presentation for Kay Baldwin – Tuesday, June 23 @ 6:30PM
Hello Neighbors!
Please join us – in person! – for a brief, socially-distanced, celebration of one of the founding members of the Murray Hill Neighborhood Association – Kay Baldwin. Kay has spent her life working to improve her community. In addition to founding MHNA 20 years ago, Kay was a co-founder of the UWM Daycare Center, a founding contributor to The Urban Ecology Center, a decades-long poll worker at Riverside High School, and an active participant in the campaigns of many candidates for public office dating back to State Senator Barbara Ulichny’s first campaign for office in 1978.
We will be gathering outside her home (1800 block of E Kenwood) at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, June 23. Alderman Kovac will be presenting her with a commendation, and we would be honored to have your presence and show Kay how much we appreciate her contributions. Masks are highly encouraged, as well as staying 6 feet apart from others, and we envision this could include the sidewalks, parking lanes, alley, and boulevard along Kenwood. Dogs, strollers, “Thank You” signs – all welcome!
Hope to see you there!
P.S. Rain date will be Wednesday June 24 at 6:30.
