2016 Solar Group Buy – Deadline Extended!
Neighbors, Last year many MHNA homes participated in the Milwaukee Shines solar group buy program. This year the program was expanded to include both Milwaukee and Shorewood. It has surpassed the second benchmark of 100 kW! As a result, everyone will get an additional price break on the cost of their solar array. Right now, over 118 kW has been contracted by 37 home
Volunteers Needed at Riverside University HS – Sat 8/27 @ 9AM
Principal Michael Harris would welcome volunteer help on Saturday, August 27 at 9 am by neighbors to make Riverside University High School a welcoming place for students for the new school year. Community members, staff, students and volunteers from Marquette University will assist with outside projects (e.g. tend & mulch flower beds, sweep walkways, remove trash) and beautify the interior (e.g., clean entrance windows).

Greetings Neighbors, We hope you have all had a wonderful summer! With back-to-school just around the corner, we will be welcoming guest speakers from both UWM and MPD at our August MHNA meeting – this Tuesday, August 23 at 7:00 PM at the Urban Ecology Center – to come speak with neighbors about their plans for keeping our neighborhood peaceful this fall. UWM Dump and Run – TODAY!
UWM’s Neighborhood Housing Office will again be sponsoring a Dump and Run to dispose of unwanted large items and other things. Eastside neighbors are free to take part in it, too, either in dropping items off or in coming around looking for items.
