East Library – First Auction Results and Future Dates
The first auction of Herman Miller Eames furniture from East Library was held at the end of July at Leslie Hindman Auctioneers. The proceeds amounted to more than $10,000 — a great success! These funds will be added to the budget for public art for East Library. The next auction is set for August 21 in Chicago with subsequent auction dates scheduled for September
Tall Grass/Noxious Weeds Ordinance Change Now in Effect
Amended City of Milwaukee Ordinance 80-17-2 & 80-17-6 took effect August 10. Property owners in the City of Milwaukee are advised that a City ordinance amendment concerning tall grass and noxious weeds on their property is now in effect. What has changed? Eastside Garden Tour – Recap and Photos
The first time offered, this free, self-guided tour of the diverse gardens of Milwaukee’s Eastside neighborhoods attracted an estimated 600 – 700+ people on Sunday, July 28th from communities as far as Holy Hill and Racine, as well as many more local residents. People picked up maps of garden locations/directions at the Northpoint Lighthouse or the Urban Ecology Center, where they had a chance
