October Murray Hill Meeting

Hello Neighbors!

Our last meeting of the year will be taking place next week – Tuesday, October 22 at 7PM at the Urban Ecology Center (1500 E Park Place). We hope you can join us!  Our agenda includes the following speakers and topics:

  • Milwaukee Police Department updates from CLO Carlos Felix, Sgt Kevin Sadowski, and Asst. D.A. Kelly Hedge (15 min)
  • Alex Brower, Candidate for City Comptroller (5 min)
  • Carl Baehr, a Milwaukee native and author of Milwaukee Streets: The Stories Behind their Names, and From the Emerald Isle to the Cream City: A History of the Irish in Milwaukee. He writes the City Streets column for Urban Milwaukee and has written on other local history topics. He will describe the history of Milwaukee’s street naming including how and why many Milwaukee streets got their names.  He will have a few copies of his latest book available for purchase. (30-45 min)
  • MHNA Board Elections!  We will present the slate of new and returning officers & directors and thank our outgoing board members. (15 min)

Please note: we will not be having general membership meetings in November or December, but will start back up in January 2020.
