9th Annual Eggs-travaganza
Mark Your Calendar!!
All are welcome to join the fun at the 9th Annual Eggs-travaganza scheduled for the Saturday before Easter (March 30) at 9 am in the Children’s play area of Riverside Park. Bring your containers, cameras, smiles, kids and grandkids for our annual egg hunt. Several thousand eggs are “hidden” for the hunt, including traditional colored eggs, plastic eggs filled with candy, and special ceramic and paper mache eggs produced by the artists at Murray Hill Pottery. The Eggs-travaganza is sponsored by the MHNA, Murray Hill Pottery Works, Walgreens and the Upper East Side Business Improvement District.
Be a Murray Hill Neighbor – Help Out and Have Some Fun! Many hands will make the task of coloring the many dozens of real eggs easier. Organize your own dyeing/decorating party and have some fun. Eggs will be available at the Murray Hill Pottery (2456 N. Murray Ave.) by noon on Friday March 22th. They will be in the entry way with a sign-out sheet. The dyed eggs are needed back for hiding by Friday night, March 29th, by 6 PM.
An hour or so of your time is also needed to hide the eggs on Saturday morning, March 30th in Riverside Park at 8 pm. Stay to watch the anticipation, excitement and smiles on the faces of the children (and their parents). If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Geralyn Flick from Murray Hill pottery (geralynflick@mac.com; 332-8828) or Cynthia Sommer (wcsommer@yahoo.com; 962-7076)
