2016 MHNA Annual Meeting
Hello Neighbors!
I am excited to invite you to attend our October General Membership Meeting on Tuesday, October 25 at 7 PM at the Urban Ecology Center at 1500 E Park Place. This meeting is extra-special because it is our ANNUAL MEETING! Here’s what’s on the agenda:
- Update from MPD District 1
- Annual Meeting Reports: Board will report to neighbors about what we’ve been up to behind the scenes over the past year. You’ll hear updates on membership, finances, events, newsletter, committee liaisons – you name it!
- Newsletter Status: The Board needs your input on the future direction of our printed publication – Murray Hills News – that currently gets hand-delivered to doorsteps 3 times a year. Our wonderful editor – Cindy Sommer – is looking to step down but is willing to stick around long enough to train a new volunteer (or volunteer team). Volunteers are also needed for layout and distribution. If we cannot find a replacement editor, we will likely need to convert to an electronic format. Got opinions about that? Please attend and let’s discuss!
- Bylaw Revisions: Members will vote on proposed revisions to the MHNA Bylaws.
- Elections: Five board positions are up for election! You can throw your hat into the ring! Or you can vote for the nominated slate which is as follows:
- President – Tory Kress (incumbent)
- Secretary – Mike Darnell (incumbent as Director 2)
- Note: current secretary Mary Johnson Grundle would move to Director 2
- Director 3 – Gregory James (incumbent)
- Director 4 – Steve Klebar (incumbent)
- Director 5 – Donnel Thompson
Hope to see you all there!
