An armed robbery took place at 12:04 a.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2013 in the 2900 block of N Murray AV about two blocks south of campus between E Locust ST and E Linnwood AV.

The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating this incident. Please call its Tip Line, (414) 935-7360, if you have any information about the incident. Suspicious persons and behavior should be reported to the police. The UWM non-emergency line is answered 24 hours a day (414) 229-4627.
UWM would like everyone to be safe both on and off campus, especially during the busy time at the beginning of the semester. In addition to being aware of your surroundings while out in public, walk with a purpose and with someone else. Consider using the transportation services available at UWM such as BOSS (Be On the Safe Side), or using a SAFE escort provided by UWM Police (Safety Awareness For Everyone).
