Downer Avenue Haunted Halloween
Grab your kids and costumes and get up on Downer to trick-or-treat at our businesses, enjoy the amazing Halloween-themed chalk artistry, stroll along with our accordian player, and buy your pumpkin at St. Mark’s Church!
Vote for your favorite pumpkin from our businesses as they compete to win our carving contest this year while you earn your chance to win great prizes. Kids can enjoy their own chalk drawing area plus balloon twisting.
Also, special guest, Andy Rash, Milwaukee’s own author and illustrator of several books for children, including Archie the Daredevil Penguin, returns to Boswell Book Company. Rash will bring the laughs with his hilarious story of a stinkbug who can’t stink, with a story time, sing along, and other activities. Boswell is also hosting a scavenger hunt up and down Downer, sending you on a search for stinky bug friends from the book like Lord Stinkington and The Fumigator. (Recommended for adults and kids age 3 and up.)
