Maryland Avenue School Gardens Day

Maryland Avenue Montessori School invites all neighbors to participate in the spring Gardens & Grounds Day this Saturday, May 7 from 9 AM to 3 PM.

Hands in for MAM: Gardens & Grounds Day!

All are encouraged to lend a hand to beautify Maryland Ave Montessori’s outdoor spaces – Saturday, May 7th from 9 AM to 3 PM.

  • Build a Fence with Mr. Wright – Decorate and install a fence to protect the young emerging plants in our Rain Garden.
  • Rake and clean up – Clean up leaves and garbage that accumulated over the winter. Kids size gloves are available.  Adults, bring your own favorite pair.
  • Move mulch – Mulch the many beds around MAM to keep out weeds.  Bring a wheel barrow, gloves or shovel if you have one.
  • Plant – We have bushes and flowers that need to planted.  Bring a spade or trowel and shoes for mud!
  • Weed with our Master Gardeners – Tom & Pat have been keeping our grounds looking great for nearly 3 years.  Come meet these fine volunteers.
